Muhammad b. Bakr told us: Ibn Jurayj informed us, and Rawh — he said: Ibn Jurayj told us: Abd Allah, the freedman of Asma' bint Abi Bakr, informed us, from Asma' bint Abi Bakr, that she said, 'O my son, has the moon set on the night of Jam' (Muzdalifah)?' I said, 'No.' Then she said, 'O my son, has the moon set?' I said, 'Yes.' She said, 'Then let us move on.' So we moved on, then proceeded until she cast the pebbles at the Jamrah, then returned and prayed the dawn prayer at her lodging. I said to her, 'We have indeed set out very early' — Rawh said, 'O so-and-so' — she said, 'Not at all, my son; the Prophet of God (peace and blessings be upon him) gave permission to the weak travelers to leave early.'
