Harun told us: Abdullah ibn Wahb told us: Abu Sakhr informed me, from Abu Qusayt, who told him that Urwah ibn al-Zubayr told him that A'ishah, wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), told him that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out from her at night. She said: So I became jealous over him. She said: Then he came and saw what I was doing, and said, "What is the matter with you, A'ishah? Have you become jealous?" She said: I said, "And why should someone like me not become jealous over someone like you?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Has your devil taken hold of you?" She said, "O Messenger of Allah, do I have a devil with me?" He said, "Yes." I said, "And with every person?" He said, "Yes." I said, "And with you too, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Yes, but my Lord, Mighty and Majestic, helped me against him until he submitted."
