The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saw a gold ring on a man's finger. He pulled it off and threw it away, saying: 'One of you deliberately takes a burning coal from Hell and places it on his hand.' After the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) left, the man was told: 'Take your ring and benefit from it.' He said: 'No, by Allah, I will never take it after the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) threw it away.'
