حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ قَالَ جَلَسْتُ إِلَى شَيْخٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْكُوفَةِ فَحَدَّثَنِي فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ تُوبُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَاسْتَغْفِرُوهُ فَإِنِّي أَتُوبُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَأَسْتَغْفِرُهُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ فَقُلْتُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ اثْنَتَانِ قَالَ هُوَ مَا أَقُولُ لَكَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Isma'il narrated to us, Yunus narrated to us, from Humayd ibn Hilal, from Abu Burdah, who said: I sat with an elderly man among the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in the mosque of Kufa, and he narrated to me, saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him — or he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said — O people, repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness, for I repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness a hundred times every day. So I said: O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness — twice. He said: That is what I am telling you.
