حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَقِيلٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَخْبِرْنَا عَنْ لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هِيَ فِي رَمَضَانَ الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ فَإِنَّهَا وِتْرٌ فِي إِحْدَى وَعِشْرِينَ أَوْ ثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ أَوْ خَمْسٍ وَعِشْرِينَ أَوْ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ أَوْ تِسْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ أَوْ فِي آخِرِ لَيْلَةٍ فَمَنْ قَامَهَا إِيمَانًا وَاحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Amr told us, Zuhayr ibn Muhammad told us, from 'Abdullah ibn Muhammad — meaning Ibn 'Aqil — from 'Umar ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit, that he said: O Messenger of Allah, tell us about the Night of Decree. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "It is in Ramadan; seek it in the last ten nights, for it is an odd night: the twenty-first, or the twenty-third, or the twenty-fifth, or the twenty-seventh, or the twenty-ninth, or the very last night. Whoever stands in prayer on it out of faith and in hope of reward will have his past and future sins forgiven."
