Nuh ibn Maymun told us -- Abu Abd al-Rahman said: he is Abu Muhammad ibn Nuh, and he is al-Madrub Abu Muhammad ibn Nuh -- Abu Khurayn Uqbah ibn Abi al-Sahba told us, Abu Ghalib al-Rasibi told me that he met Abu Umamah in Homs and asked him about matters; he told them that he heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "There is no Muslim servant who hears the call to prayer and rises for his ablution but he is forgiven with the first drop that touches his palm from that water; and with the number of those drops, until he finishes his ablution, he is forgiven whatever sins have passed, and he rises to his prayer, and it is supererogatory." Abu Ghalib said: I said to Abu Umamah, "Did you hear this from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him?" He said: "Yes, by the One who sent him with truth as a bringer of good tidings and a warner -- not once, nor twice, nor three, nor four, nor five, nor six, nor seven, nor eight, nor nine, nor ten, and ten, and ten," and he clapped his hands.
