Ya'qub told us, my father told me, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, Sa'id ibn Ubayd ibn al-Sabbaq told me, from Muhammad ibn Usamah ibn Zayd, from his father Usamah ibn Zayd, who said: When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, grew gravely ill, I went down, and the people went down with me, to Madinah. I entered upon the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he had fallen silent and could not speak. He began raising his hands to the sky, then pouring them down upon me; I knew that he was supplicating for me.
