'Abd al-Wahhab al-Thaqafi told us, Ayyub told us, from Abu Qilaba, from Qabisa, who said: The sun was eclipsed, so the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, went out and prayed two rak'as, prolonging the recitation in them, until it cleared. Then he said, "The sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of Allah, Blessed and Exalted, by which He frightens His servants. So when you see that, pray as you would pray the most recent of your obligatory prayers." Abu Sa'id, the freedman of Banu Hashim, told us, Wuhayb told us, Ayyub told us, from Abu Qilaba, from Qabisa al-Hilali, who said: The sun was eclipsed in the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and I was with him that day in Madina -- and he mentioned something similar.
