Yazid told us, Hammam informed us, and Affan told us - Hammam told us - Qatadah informed us, from al-Hasan, from Abu Bakrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Let none of you say: 'I stood in prayer the whole of Ramadan.'" Qatadah said: "Allah, Blessed and Exalted, knows best whether he feared self-attribution of purity for his nation." Affan said: or he said: "There must inevitably be one asleep or heedless."
