حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سَمُرَةَ بْنَ جُنْدُبٍ يَقُولُ إِنَّهُ لَيَمْنَعُنِي أَنْ أَتَكَلَّمَ بِكَثِيرٍ مِمَّا كُنْتُ أَسْمَعُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ هَاهُنَا مَنْ هُوَ أَكْثَرُ مِنِّي وَكُنْتُ لَيْلَتَئِذٍ غُلَامًا وَإِنِّي كُنْتُ لَأَحْفَظُ مَا أَسْمَعُ مِنْهُ صَلَّيْتُ وَرَاءَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَصَلَّى عَلَى أُمِّ كَعْبٍ مَاتَتْ وَهِيَ نُفَسَاءُ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلصَّلَاةِ عَلَيْهَا وَسَطَهَا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abd al-Samad told us, my father told us, Husayn told us, Ibn Buraydah told us, that he heard Samurah ibn Jundub say: What holds me back from relating much of what I used to hear from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, is that there are here those who know more than I do, and I was a boy at that time, yet I used to memorize what I heard from him. I prayed behind the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and he prayed over Umm Ka'b, who had died while in a state of postpartum bleeding, and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, stood at her middle to pray over her.
