Abd al-Samad told us, Jarir ibn Hazim told us, Abd al-Malik ibn Umayr told us, from Husayn ibn Abi al-Hurr, from Samurah ibn Jundub, who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, being cupped with a horn, with an incision made using the edge of a knife. A man from Shamkh came in and said to him, 'Why do you allow this man to do to your back or neck what I see him doing?' He said, 'This is cupping, and it is among the best of what you use for treatment.'
