حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلْمَانَ الْمُؤَذِّنِ قَالَ تُوُفِّيَ أَبُو سَرِيحَةَ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ زَيْدُ بْنُ أَرْقَمَ فَكَبَّرَ عَلَيْهِ أَرْبَعًا وَقَالَ كَذَا فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.

Aswad ibn Amir told us: Sharik told us, from Uthman ibn Abi Zur'ah, from Abu Salman al-Mu'adhdhin, who said: Abu Surayhah died, and Zayd ibn Arqam prayed over him, saying the takbir four times, and said: Thus did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, do.
