حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ قَالَا ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاكٌ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَائِلٍ عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ بِأَرْضِنَا أَعْنَابًا نَعْتَصِرُهَا فَنَشْرَبُ مِنْهَا قَالَ لَا فَعَاوَدْتُهُ فَقَالَ لَا فَقُلْتُ إِنَّا نَسْتَشْفِي بِهَا لِلْمَرِيضِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ ذَاكَ لَيْسَ شِفَاءً وَلَكِنَّهُ دَاءٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَا ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ وَائِلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَائِلِ بْنِ حُجْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ قَالَ حَجَّاجٌ إِنَّهُ شَهِدَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ خَثْعَمٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ سُوَيْدُ بْنُ طَارِقٍ وَقَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ أَوْ طَارِقُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ الْجُعْفِيُّ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْخَمْرِ فَنَهَاهُ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ.

Bahz and Abu Kamil told us, they said: Hammad ibn Salamah told us: Simak told us, from 'Alqamah ibn Wa'il, from Tariq ibn Suwayd al-Hadrami, that he said: I said, O Messenger of Allah, in our land we have grapes which we press and drink from. He said, No. I asked him again, and he said, No. I said, We seek healing with it for the sick. He said, That is not healing, but it is a disease. Hajjaj ibn Muhammad and Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us, they said: Shu'bah told us, from Simak ibn Harb, from 'Alqamah ibn Wa'il, from his father Wa'il ibn Hujr al-Hadrami - Hajjaj said: that he witnessed the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and a man from Khath'am named Suwayd ibn Tariq asked him - Ibn Ja'far said: or Tariq ibn Suwayd al-Ju'fi - asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about wine, and he forbade it - and he mentioned the hadith.
