Yunus told us: Layth told us, from Yazid b. Abi Habib, from Khalid b. Kathir al-Hamdani, who was told by al-Sariy b. Isma'il al-Kufi, who was told by al-Sha'bi, that he heard al-Nu'man b. Bashir say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, from wheat there is wine, and from barley there is wine, and from raisins there is wine, and from dates there is wine, and from honey there is wine, and I forbid every intoxicant."
