Zayd ibn Yahya al-Dimashqi told us, he said: Ibn Thawban told us, from his father, from Makhul, from Kathir ibn Murrah, from Qais al-Judhami — a man who had companionship [with the Prophet] — who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "The martyr is granted six qualities at the first drop of his blood: every sin of his is forgiven; his seat in Paradise is shown to him; he is married to the maidens with the wide, beautiful eyes; he is granted safety from the greatest terror and from the punishment of the grave; and he is adorned with the garment of faith."
