Hushaym told us, Khalid informed us, from Yazid ibn Abd Allah ibn al-Shikhkhir, from his brother Mutarrif ibn Abd Allah ibn al-Shikhkhir, from Iyad ibn Himar, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever finds a lost item should have two just witnesses testify to it, and should preserve its container and its tie; if its owner comes, he should not withhold it, for he has more right to it; but if its owner does not come, then it is wealth from Allah which He gives to whom He wills. Abu Abd al-Rahman said: I said to my father: some people say 'iqasaha' and some say 'ifasaha.' He said: 'ifasaha,' with the letter fa'.
