حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ حَدَّثَنِي مَوْلًى لِعُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ إِنَّ لَنَا جِيرَانًا يَشْرَبُونَ الْخَمْرَ قَالَ اسْتُرْ عَلَيْهِمْ قَالَ مَا أَسْتُرُ عَلَيْهِمْ أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَذْهَبَ أَجِيءَ بِالشُّرَطِ عَلَيْهِمْ قَالَ فَقَالَ لَهُ عُقْبَةُ وَيْحَكَ مَهْلًا عَلَيْهِمْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ رَأَى عَوْرَةً فَسَتَرَهَا كَانَ كَمَنْ اسْتَحْيَا مَوْءُودَةً مِنْ قَبْرِهَا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ali ibn Ishaq informed us, Ibn Lahi'ah informed us, from Ka'b ibn Alqamah, a freed slave of Uqbah ibn Amir told me, who said: I said to Uqbah ibn Amir: We have neighbors who drink wine. He said: Conceal them. He said: I do not want to conceal them; I want to go and bring the guards against them. Uqbah said to him: Woe to you, go easy on them; I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: Whoever sees a shameful fault and conceals it is like one who has brought a girl buried alive back to life from her grave.
