Hasan told us, Ibn Lahi'ah told us, al-Harith ibn Yazid told us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Jubayr, from Uqbah ibn Amir, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade cauterization, and he disliked drinking very hot water, and when he applied kohl he applied it in odd amounts, and when he cleaned himself with stones he did so in odd numbers.
