حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ صَالِحٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ سَيْفٍ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَبِي رُهْمٍ عَنِ الْعِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَ السُّلَمِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَدْعُونَا إِلَى السَّحُورِ فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ هَلُمُّوا إِلَى الْغِذَاءِ الْمُبَارَكِ ثُمَّ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ عَلِّمْ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِسَابَ وَقِهِ الْعَذَابَ.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi told us, from Mu'awiyah, that is Ibn Salih, from Yunus ibn Sayf, from al-Harith ibn Ziyad, from Abu Ruhm, from al-Irbad ibn Sariyah al-Sulami, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, calling us to the pre-dawn meal in the month of Ramadan, saying: Come to the blessed food. Then I heard him say: O Allah, teach Mu'awiyah the Book and arithmetic, and protect him from punishment.
