Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us: Abu Mas'ud al-Jurayri narrated to us, from Abu al-Ala' ibn al-Shikhkhir, from al-Hanzali, from Shaddad ibn Aws, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: There is no man who takes to his bed and recites a surah from the Book of Allah, Mighty and Majestic, except that Allah, Mighty and Majestic, sends to him an angel who guards him from everything that would harm him until he wakes, whenever he wakes.
