حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ لَعَنَ رَجُلٌ دِيكًا صَاحَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَلْعَنْهُ فَإِنَّهُ يَدْعُو إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ قَالَ صَلَّى بِنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الصُّبْحَ بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ فِي أَثَرِ سَمَاءٍ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ.

Abd al-Razzaq told us: Ma'mar informed us, from Salih ibn Kaysan, from Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah ibn Utbah, from Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani, who said: A man cursed a rooster that crowed in the presence of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do not curse it, for it calls to prayer." Abd al-Razzaq told us: Ma'mar told us, from Salih ibn Kaysan, from Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah, from Zayd ibn Khalid, who said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, led us in the dawn prayer at al-Hudaybiyah following a rainfall in the night, and he mentioned the hadith.
