Abu al-Mughirah told us, saying: Artah — that is, Ibn al-Mundhir — told us: Damrah ibn Habib told us, saying: Salamah ibn Nufayl al-Sakuni told us, who said: We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when someone said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, were you ever brought food from heaven?" He said: "Yes." He said: "And what was it?" He said: "A warmed dish." They said: "Was there any left over from you?" He said: "Yes." He said: "What was done with it?" He said: "It was raised up. And it is being revealed to me that I am to be taken swiftly, not to remain long among you, and you will not remain long after me except a little; rather you will remain until you say, 'When (will it end)?' And you will come in successive groups, some of you destroying others. Before the Hour there will be a severe mortality, and after it years of earthquakes."
