حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ قَالَ وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَذْكُرُ يَعْنِي أَبَاهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ وَعَنْ حَسَنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَنَّهُمَا دَخَلَا عَلَى جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ السَّلَمِيِّ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي مُلْتَحِفًا وَرِدَاؤُهُ عَلَى جَدْرِ مَسْجِدِهِ فَصَلَّى ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ إِلَيْنَا فَقَالَ لَنَا إِنَّمَا صَلَّيْتُ لِتَرَيَانِي إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي هَكَذَا.
انگریزی ترجمہ
Ya'qub told us, he said: I also heard him mention — meaning his father — from Muhammad ibn 'Ikrima, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Ikrima, from Ibrahim ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Abdullah ibn Abi Rabi'a and from Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, that the two of them went to see Jabir ibn 'Abdullah al-Salami while he was praying wrapped in a garment, with his cloak against the wall of his private mosque area. He finished the prayer, then turned to us and said, "I only prayed this way so that you two would see me, for I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, praying like this."
