Ibn Numayr told us: 'Ubaydullah informed us, from Sayfi, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: A man found a snake in his house and took his spear and pierced it, but the snake did not die until the man died. This was reported to the Messenger of God (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: "Indeed, you have among you house-dwelling jinn; if you see any of them, warn it off three times, and if you see it after that, kill it."
