English Translation
Ishaq narrated from Abd al-Razzaq, from Ibn Uyaynah, from al-A'mash, from Zayd ibn Wahb who said: A man among us died and left behind an umm walad (a slave woman who bore his child). Al-Walid ibn Uqbah wanted to sell her to pay his debts. We went to Ibn Mas'ud and found him praying, so we waited until he finished. We mentioned this to him and he said: 'If you must do something, then assign her to the share of her child.'
