Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:9456 حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا تَغْتَرُّوا بِتِجَارَاتِكُمْ وَأَجْشَارِكُمْ وَتُسَافِرُوا إِلَى قُرَى السَّوَادِ وَتَقُولُوا إِنَّا قَوْمٌ سَفْرٌ إِنَّمَا الْمُسَافِرُ مِنْ أُفُقٍ إِلَى أُفُقٍ
English Translation
Ibn Mas'ud said: 'Do not be deceived by your trades and farms and travel to the villages of the countryside saying: We are travelers. Indeed, the traveler is one who journeys from one horizon to another.'
