English Translation
Jundub and Masruq caught one rak'ah of Maghrib (behind the imam). Jundub recited (Quran in his makeup rak'ahs) while Masruq did not recite behind the imam. When the imam said the salam, they both stood to make up. Masruq sat (for tashahhud) in the second and third (makeup rak'ahs), while Jundub stood in the second without sitting. When they finished, they discussed it and went to Ibn Mas'ud. He said: 'Both of you have done well,' or he said: 'Both of you have done right. We would do as Masruq did.'
