English Translation
Hayyan ibn Buhh al-Suda'i, the companion of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), said: 'My people disbelieved, and I was informed that the Prophet (peace be upon him) had prepared an army against them. I came to him and said: My people are upon Islam. He said: Is that so? I said: Yes. I stayed with him that night until morning and gave the call to prayer. When morning came, he gave me a vessel and I made wudu in it. The Prophet (peace be upon him) placed his fingers in the vessel and springs gushed forth. He said: Whoever among you wishes to make wudu, let him make wudu. So I made wudu, prayed, and he appointed me over them and gave me their charity.'
