Ḥadīth | Ṭabarānī (الطبراني) tabarani:11764 حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا طَالِبُ بْنُ قُرَّةَ الْأَذَنِيُّ ثنا ابْنُ الطَّبَّاعِ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَ وَلَا هَامَةَ وَلَا صَفَرَ» فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا لَنَأْخُذُ الشَّاةَ الْجَرْبَاءَ فَنَطْرَحُهَا فِي الْغَنَمِ فَتَجْرَبُ قَالَ «فَمَنْ أَعْدَى الْأَوَّلَ»
English Translation
Ibn Abbas reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him) who said: 'There is no contagion, no evil omen, no owl superstition, and no Safar superstition.' A man said to him: 'O Messenger of Allah, we take a mangy sheep and put it among the flock, and they become mangy.' He said: 'Then who infected the first one?'
