English Translation
Ibn Abbas narrated that a man asked him: 'O Abu al-Abbas, does a killer have a chance for repentance?' Ibn Abbas said, astonished: 'What are you saying?' He repeated the question two or three times, then Ibn Abbas said: 'How can he have repentance? I heard your Prophet (peace be upon him) say: "The murdered victim will come on the Day of Judgment, holding his head in one hand and dragging his killer with the other, with blood gushing from his jugular veins, until he brings him before the Throne. The murdered one will say to Allah: "Lord, this one killed me." Allah the Exalted will say to the killer: "You are wretched," and he will be taken to the Fire."'
