Arabic (Original)
نَا نَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ التَّمِيمِيِّ، عَنِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ:دَارَسْتَ , قَالَ:" قَرَأْتُ وَتَعَلَّمْتُ".
English Translation
Abu al-Aliyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said regarding the verse: 'And He taught Adam the names — all of them' (al-Baqarah: 31) — He said: 'He taught him the name of every single thing, even the cup and the pot.'
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے اللہ عزوجل کے فرمان«دَارَسْتَ»کے بارے میں فرمایا: اس کا مطلب ہے تم نے پڑھا اور سیکھا۔[سنن سعید بن منصور/كتاب التفسير/حدیث: 903]
