Arabic (Original)
نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا مُغِيرَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ:" رُفِعَ الْقَلَمُ عَنْ أَرْبَعَةٍ: عَنِ النَّائِمِ حَتَّى يَسْتَيْقِظَ، وَعَنِ الصَّغِيرِ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ، وَعَنِ الْمَجْنُونِ حَتَّى يُكْشَفَ عَنْهُ، وَعَنِ الْكَبِيرِ الَّذِي لا يَعْقِلُ".
English Translation
Ibrahim al-Nakha'i said: "The pen is lifted from four: the sleeping person until he wakes, the child until he reaches maturity, the insane person until he is cured, and the elderly person who has lost his mind."
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابراہیم نخعی رحمہ اللہ نے فرمایا:”چار پر قلم نہیں: سونے والے، نابالغ بچے، دیوانے اور بوڑھے جو عقل کھو بیٹھے ہوں۔“[سنن سعید بن منصور/كتاب الطلاق/حدیث: 3256]
