English Translation
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Usayd ibn Hudayr (may Allah be pleased with him) was reciting the Quran one night when his horse became startled. He recited again and it was startled again. He mentioned this to the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: "Those were angels drawing near to listen to the recitation. If you had continued, the people would have seen them in the morning, and they would not have been hidden from them."
