Arabic (Original)
نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنِ الْمُتْعَةِ، فَقَالَ:" كَانَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ مَتَّعَ بِالْخَادِمِ وَالنَّفَقَةِ، وَمَنْ كَانَ دُونَ ذَلِكَ مَتَّعَ بِالنَّفَقَةِ وَالْكِسْوَةِ، وَمَنْ كَانَ دُونَ ذَلِكَ مَتَّعَ بِمِلْحَفَةٍ، وَدِرْعٍ، وَجِلْباب، وَمَنْ كَانَ دُونَ ذَلِكَ مَتَّعَ بِثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ".
English Translation
Al-Hasan was asked about the consolation gift. He said: "Among them, some gave a servant and maintenance, and those of lesser means gave maintenance and clothing, and those of even lesser means gave a wrapper, a chemise, and a jilbab, and the poorest gave a single garment."
Urdu Translation
حضرت حسن رحمہ اللہ نے فرمایا:”مالدار خادم اور خرچ دے، متوسط خرچ اور لباس دے، کمزور ایک چادر، قمیص یا جلباب دے، غریب ایک کپڑا دے۔“[سنن سعید بن منصور/كتاب الطلاق/حدیث: 2955]
