وعن أنس رضي الله عنه قال: قال أبو بكر لعمر رضي الله عنهما بعد وفاة رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: انطلق بنا إلى أم أيمن رضي الله عنها نزورها كما كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يزورهان فلما انتهيا إليها، بكت، فقالا لها، ما يبكيك أما تعلمين أن ما عند الله خير لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم؟ فقالت: إني لا أبكي إني لا أعلم أن ما عند الله تعالى خير لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ، ولكن أبكي أن الوحي قد انقطع من السماء، فهيجتهما على البكاء، فجعلا يبكيان معها. ((رواه مسلم)).
English Translation
Hadrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported:After the passing of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), Hadrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be well pleased with him) said to 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) : "Let us visit Umm Aiman (may Allah be well pleased with her) as Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to visit her". As we came to her, she wept. They (Hadrat Abu Bakr and 'Umar (may Allah be well pleased with him) said to her, "What makes you weep? Do you not know that what Allah has in store for His Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is better than (this worldly life)?" She said, "I weep not because I am ignorant of the fact that what is in store for Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) (in the Hereafter) is better than this world, but I weep because the Revelation has ceased to come". This moved both of them to tears and they began to weep along with her..
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی وفات کے بعد حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے کہا: چلو ام ایمن رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے ملنے چلیں جیسے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ان سے ملنے جایا کرتے تھے۔ جب ان کے پاس پہنچے تو وہ رو پڑیں۔ دونوں نے کہا: آپ کیوں رو رہی ہیں؟ جو اللہ کے پاس ہے وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے لیے بہتر ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا: میں نہیں روتی کہ مجھے معلوم نہیں کہ جو اللہ کے پاس ہے وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے لیے بہتر ہے، لیکن میں اس لیے روتی ہوں کہ آسمان سے وحی کا سلسلہ بند ہو گیا۔ ان کے رونے نے ان دونوں کو بھی رلا دیا اور وہ بھی ان کے ساتھ رونے لگے۔
