Arabic (Original)
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ صَمْعَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي وَالِدَتِي، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهَا سُئِلَتْ عَنِ الأَشْرِبَةِ، فَقَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَنْهَى عَنْ كُلِّ مُسْكِرٍ . وَاعْتَلُّوا بِحَدِيثِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ .
English Translation
It is narrated that Hadrat ' Aishah was asked about drinks and she (may Allah be well pleased with her) said: "The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) [SAW] used to forbid all intoxicants." And they use the narration of 'Abdullah bin Shaddad from 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے مشروبات کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا تو فرماتی ہیں: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ہر نشہ آور چیز سے منع فرماتے تھے۔
