أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَتَّابٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الأَشْعَثِ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ هِلاَلٍ، - وَكَانَ قَدْ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم - عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ يَرْبُوعٍ أَنَّ نَاسًا مِنْ بَنِي ثَعْلَبَةَ أَصَابُوا رَجُلاً مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَؤُلاَءِ بَنُو ثَعْلَبَةَ قَتَلَتْ فُلاَنًا . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ تَجْنِي نَفْسٌ عَلَى أُخْرَى " . قَالَ شُعْبَةُ أَىْ لاَ يُؤْخَذُ أَحَدٌ بِأَحَدٍ وَاللَّهُ تَعَالَى أَعْلَمُ .
English Translation
It is narrated from Hadrat Al-Aswad bin Hilal - (may Allah be well pleased with him) who met the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) - from a man from Banu Tha'labah bin Yarbu, that:some people from Banu Tha'labah killed a man from among the companions of the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). A man from among the companions of the Messenger of the Allah submitted: "O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), these are Banu Tha'labah who killed so and so." The Messenger said: "No soul is affected by the sin of another." Shu'bah (one of the narrators) said: "That means: No soul is responsible for the sin of anothe4r, and Allah knows best
Urdu Translation
حضرت اسود بن ہلال (جنہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا زمانہ پایا) بنو ثعلبہ بن یربوع کے ایک شخص سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ بنو ثعلبہ کے کچھ لوگوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ایک صحابی کو قتل کیا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ایک صحابی نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! یہ بنو ثعلبہ ہیں، انہوں نے فلاں کو قتل کیا ہے۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: کوئی نفس دوسرے نفس کے جُرم کا بوجھ نہیں اٹھائے گا۔ شعبہ نے کہا: یعنی کسی کو کسی دوسرے کے جُرم میں نہیں پکڑا جائے گا، واللہ تعالیٰ اعلم۔
