English Translation
Narrated Tawus from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), he said: Zayd ibn Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) came, and Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) reminded him, saying, "How did you report about the game meat which was gifted to the Prophet (peace be upon him) while he (peace be upon him) was in ihram?" He said, "A limb of game meat was gifted to the Prophet (peace be upon him), and he (peace be upon him) returned it and said, 'We are in ihram, so we do not eat it.'"
Urdu Translation
طاؤس سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت کرتے ہوئے کہتے ہیں کہزید بن ارقم رضی اللہ عنہ آئے تو سیدنا عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے ان کو یاد دلا کر کہا کہ تم نے شکار کے گوشت کی خبر کیسے دی تھی جو نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو ہدیہ دیا گیا تھا جبکہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلماحرام باندھے ہوئے تھے؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو ایک عضو شکار کے گوشت کا ہدیہ دیا گیا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے واپس کر دیا اور فرمایا کہ ہم لوگ احرام باندھے ہوئے ہیں، اس لئے ہم نہیں کھاتے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 681]
