English Translation
Narrated Jarir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): Some people of the desert came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and said: Some collectors (of zakat) come to us and act unjustly towards us (that is, they take the very best animal, whereas they should take an average one). Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Satisfy your collectors (that is, even if they wrong you). Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Since I heard this from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), no collector has ever left me but pleased. [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim/Hadith: 509]
Urdu Translation
سیدنا جریر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہدیہات کے چند لوگ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی خدمت میں آئے اور عرض کیا کہ بعض تحصیلدار (زکوٰۃ وصول کرنے والے) ہمارے پاس آتے ہیں اور ہم پر زیادتی کرتے ہیں۔ (یعنی جانور اچھے سے اچھا لیتے ہے حالانکہ متوسط لینا چاہئے) تب رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ تم اپنے تحصیلداروں کو راضی کر دیا کرو (یعنی اگرچہ وہ تم پر زیادتی بھی کریں) سیدنا جریر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ جب سے میں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے یہ سنا تب سے کوئی تحصیلدار میرے پاس سے نہیں گیا مگر خوش ہو کر۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 509]
