English Translation
Narrated Abu Salih as-Samman: I was with Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) on a Friday while he was praying behind something as a barrier, separated from the people. A young man from the tribe of Abu Mu'ayt came and wished to pass in front of him. Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) pushed him in the chest. He looked and found no other way, and again wished to pass in front of him. Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) pushed him even harder. He stood up straight and began to quarrel with Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him). Then the people came and restrained him. Then he went out and complained to Marwan (who was the governor of Madinah). (The narrator) said: Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) went to Marwan, and Marwan said, "What did you do to your brother's son who is complaining?" Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: 'When one of you prays behind something as a barrier and someone wishes to pass in front of him, let him push him in the chest; if he refuses, let him fight him, for he is a devil.'" Urdu Translation
ابوصالح السمان کہتے ہیں کہمیں سیدنا ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ کے ساتھ تھا وہ جمعہ کے دن کسی چیز کی آڑ میں لوگوں سے الگ ہو کر نماز پڑھ رہے تھے۔ اتنے میں ابومعیط کی قوم کا ایک جوان آیا اور اس نے ان کے سامنے سے نکلنا چاہا۔ سیدنا ابوسعید رضی اللہ عنہ نے اس کے سینہ میں مارا۔ اس نے دیکھا تو اور طرف راستہ نہ پایا اور پھر دوبارہ ان کے سامنے سے نکلنا چاہا۔ سیدنا ابوسعید رضی اللہ عنہ نے اور زور سے ایک مار ماری۔ وہ سیدھا کھڑا ہو گیا اور سیدنا ابوسعید رضی اللہ عنہ سے لڑنے لگا۔ پھر لوگوں نے اس کو آ کر روکا، پھر وہ نکلا اور مروان (جو مدینہ کا حاکم تھا) کے پاس جا کر شکایت کی۔ (راوی نے) کہا سیدنا ابوسعید رضی اللہ عنہ مروان کے پاس گئے تو مروان نے کہا کہ تو نے کیا کیا جو تیرے بھائی کا بیٹا شکایت کرتا ہے؟ سیدنا ابوسعید رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سنا ہے کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرماتے تھے کہ جب کوئی تم میں سے کسی چیز کی آڑ میں نماز پڑھے اور کوئی شخص اس کے سامنے سے نکلنا چاہے تو اس کے سینہ پر مارے اگر وہ نہ مانے تو اس سے لڑے کیونکہ وہ شیطان ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 338]
