English Translation
Narrated Busr bin Sa'id: Zayd bin Khalid al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) sent him to Abu Juhaym (Abdullah bin Harith bin Simmah al-Ansari, may Allah be pleased with him) to ask what the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) had said about the one who passes in front of a person praying. Abu Juhaym (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "If the one who passes in front of a person praying knew the sin (that is upon him for passing), he would consider standing for forty better than passing in front of him." Abu an-Nadr said, "I do not know whether (Abu Juhaym) said forty days, or months, or forty years." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 337]
Urdu Translation
بسر بن سعید سے روایت ہے کہسیدنا زید بن خالد جہنی رضی اللہ عنہ نے ان کو ابوجہیم (عبداللہ بن حارث بن صمہ انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ) کے پاس یہ پوچھنے کے لئے بھیجا کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اس شخص کے بارے میں کیا فرمایا ہے جو نمازی کے سامنے سے گزرے؟ سیدنا ابوجہیم رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا ہے کہ اگر نمازی کے سامنے سے گزرنے والا، وہ وبال (جو اس کے گزرنے کی وجہ سے اس پر ہے) جان لے تو چالیس تک کھڑا رہنا، سامنے سے گزرنے سے بہتر سمجھے۔ ابوالنصر نے کہا کہ میں نہیں جانتا ہے کہ (ابوجہیم رضی اللہ عنہ نے) کیا کہا چالیس دن یا مہینے یا چالیس سال۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 337]
