English Translation
Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) stood among us (to deliver an admonition) and did not leave out anything that was to happen from that time until the Day of Resurrection without mentioning it. Then he who remembered it remembered it, and he who forgot it forgot it. My companions know it. And there is something I had forgotten, but when I see it I remember it, just as a man remembers the face of another man in his absence, then recognizes him when he sees him.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہ ہم میں (وعظ سنانے کو) کھڑے ہوئے تو کوئی بات نہ چھوڑی جو اس وقت سے لے کر قیامت تک ہونے والی تھی مگر اس کو بیان کر دیا۔ پھر یاد رکھا جس نے رکھا اور بھول گیا جو بھول گیا۔ میرے ساتھی اس کو جانتے ہیں اور بعض بات ہوتی ہے جس کو میں بھول گیا تھا، پھر جب میں اس کو دیکھتا ہوں تو یاد آجاتی ہے جیسے آدمی دوسرے آدمی کی عدم موجودگی میں اس کا چہرہ یاد رکھتا ہے، پھر جب اس کو دیکھے تو پہچان لیتا ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1993]
