English Translation
Abu Idris al-Khawlani said: Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him) said: By Allah, I know more than all people of every trial that will occur between me and the Day of Resurrection. It is not that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) told me anything in secret, privately, that he did not tell others, but the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) spoke in one gathering about the trials, in which I was present. So he (peace be upon him), enumerating those trials, said: "Three of them are such that they will leave nearly nothing, and some of them are like the hot winds of summer; some of them are small and some are great." Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: (Now) all the people of that gathering have died except me. I alone remain (and for this reason no one remains more knowledgeable of the trials than I).
Urdu Translation
ابو ادریس خولانی کہتے ہیں کہسیدنا حذیفہ بن یمان رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ اللہ کی قسم میں سب لوگوں سے زیادہ ہر فتنہ کو جانتا ہوں جو میرے درمیان اور قیامت کے درمیان ہونے والا ہے۔ اور یہ بات نہیں ہے کہ رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے چھپا کر کوئی بات خاص مجھ سے بیان کی ہو جو اوروں سے نہ کی ہو، لیکن رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ایک مجلس میں فتنوں کا بیان کیا جس میں میں بھی تھا۔ تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ان فتنوں کا شمار کرتے ہوئے فرمایا: تین ان میں سے ایسے ہیں جو قریب قریب کچھ نہ چھوڑیں گے اور ان میں سے بعض گرمی کی آندھیوں کی طرح ہیں، بعض ان میں چھوٹے ہیں اور بعض بڑے ہیں۔ سیدنا حذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ (اب) میرے سوا اس مجلس کے سب لوگ فوت ہو چکے ہیں۔ ایک میں باقی ہوں (اس وجہ سے اب مجھ سے زیادہ کوئی فتنوں کا جاننے والا باقی نہ رہا)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1992]
