English Translation
Narrated Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say, "Whatever I forbid you from, abstain from it, and whatever I command you to do, do it to the best of your ability. For nothing destroyed the nations before you but their excessive questioning and their disputing with their prophets." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1601]
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے، بیان کرتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ میں تمہیں جس چیز سے روک دوں، اس سے رک جاؤ اور جس کے کرنے کا حکم دوں، اسے اپنی استطاعت کے مطابق بجا لاؤ۔ پس سوائے اس کے نہیں کہ تم سے پہلی اقوام کو ان کے کثرت سوال اور انبیاء پر اختلاف کرنے نے ہلاک کر دیا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1601]
