English Translation
Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) wanted to write letters to Chosroes, Caesar, and the Negus. People told him that these rulers would not accept unsealed letters. So the Prophet had a ring made with a silver band, engraved with "Muhammad Rasul Allah."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے (ایران کے بادشاہ) کسریٰ اور (روم کے بادشاہ) قیصر اور (حبش کے بادشاہ) نجاشی کو خط لکھنا چاہا تو لوگوں نے عرض کیا کہ یہ بادشاہ کوئی خط نہ لیں گے جب تک اس پر مہر نہ ہو۔ آخر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے ایک انگوٹھی بنوائی جس کا چھلہ چاندی کا تھا اور اس میں محمد رسول اللہ نقش تھا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1376]
