English Translation
Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Abu Quhafah (may Allah be pleased with him) came on the day Makkah was conquered, and his head and beard were white like thaghamah (a white plant). The Prophet said: "Change this whiteness with something, but avoid black."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہابوقحافہ رضی اللہ عنہ جس سال مکہ فتح ہوا آئے اور ان کا سر اور ان کی داڑھی ثغامہ کی طرح سفید تھی (ثغامہ ایک سفید گھاس کا نام ہے)۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ اس سفیدی کو کسی چیز سے بدل دو اور سیاہ رنگ سے بچو۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1347]
