English Translation
Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: It is as though I am (even now) seeing the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), when he (peace be upon him) was describing the state of a Prophet whose people had struck him, and he was wiping the blood from his face and kept saying, "O Allah! Forgive my people, for they do not know." (Glory be to Allah, what can be said of the forbearance of prophethood!)
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہگویا کہ میں (اب بھی) رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو دیکھ رہا ہوں، کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمایک پیغمبر کا حال بیان کر رہے تھے کہ ان کی قوم نے ان کو مارا تھا اور وہ اپنے منہ سے خون پونچھتے جاتے تھے اور کہتے جاتے تھے کہ اے اللہ! میری قوم کو بخش دے وہ نادان ہیں۔ (سبحان اللہ نبوت کے حوصلے کا کیا کہنا)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1169]
