English Translation
The conqueror of Persia, Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him), says: On the day of Uhud I saw two men on the right and left of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), wearing white clothes (and they were fighting fiercely on his behalf). I had not seen them before, nor did I see them afterward; they were Gabriel and Michael (peace be upon them). (Allah the Exalted honored the Prophet (peace be upon him) with these angels, and from this it is known that the fighting of the angels was not confined only to Badr.)
Urdu Translation
فاتح ایران سیدنا سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے احد کے دن رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے دائیں اور بائیں طرف دو آدمیوں کو دیکھا، جو سفید کپڑے پہنے ہوئے تھے (اور وہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی طرف سے خوب لڑ رہے تھے) اس سے پہلے اور اس کے بعد میں نے ان کو نہیں دیکھا وہ جبرائیل اور میکائیل علیہما السلام تھے (اللہ تعالیٰ نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو ان فرشتوں کے ساتھ عزت دی اور اس سے معلوم ہوا کہ فرشتوں کا صرف بدر میں لڑنا خاص نہ تھا)[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1164]
