وَحَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّاءُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَنْقُلُ مَعَهُمُ الْحِجَارَةَ لِلْكَعْبَةِ وَعَلَيْهِ إِزَارُهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ الْعَبَّاسُ عَمُّهُ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي لَوْ حَلَلْتَ إِزَارَكَ فَجَعَلْتَهُ عَلَى مَنْكِبِكَ دُونَ الْحِجَارَةِ - قَالَ - فَحَلَّهُ فَجَعَلَهُ عَلَى مَنْكِبِهِ فَسَقَطَ مَغْشِيًّا عَلَيْهِ - قَالَ - فَمَا رُؤِيَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ عُرْيَانًا .
English Translation
Hadrat Jabir bin Hadrat 'Abdullah (may Allah be well pleased with them both) reported that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was carrying along with them (his people) stones for the Ka'ba and there was a waist wrapper around him. His uncle, Hadrat 'Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with him), submitted to him: O son of my brother, if you take off the lower garment and place it on the shoulders underneath the stones, it would be better. He (the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) took it off and placed it on his shoulder and fell down unconscious. He (the narrator) said: Never was he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) seen naked after that day.
Urdu Translation
زکریا بن اسحاق نے حدیث بیان کی، (کہا:) ہم سے عمرو بن دینار نے حدیث بیان کی، کہا: میں نے حضرت جابر بن عبد اللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے سنا، حدیث بیان کر رہے تھے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم لوگوں کے ساتھ کعبے کے لیے پتھر ڈھو رہے تھے اور آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کا تہبند جسم پر تھا، اس موقع پر آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے چچا حضرت عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے عرض کیا: اے بھتیجے! بہتر ہو گا کہ تم اپنا تہبند کھول دو اور اسے اپنے مونڈھے پر پتھروں کے نیچے رکھ لو۔ حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا: آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اسے کھول کر اپنے مونڈھے پر رکھ لیا تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو غش آ کر گر گئے۔ حضرت جابر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا: اس دن کے بعد آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو کبھی برہنہ نہیں دیکھا گیا۔
