Arabic (Original)
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ خَيْرٍ قَالَ: نَحْنُ جُلُوسٌ نَنْظُرُ إِلَى عَلِيٍّ حِينَ تَوَضَّأَ فَأَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ الْيُمْنَى فَمَلَأَ فَمَهُ فَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ وَنَثَرَ بِيَدِهِ الْيُسْرَى فَعَلَ هَذَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَى طَهُورِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَهَذَا طَهُورُهُ. رَوَاهُ الدَّارمِيّ
English Translation
‘Abd Khair said:We were sitting looking at ‘Ali when he performed ablution. He inserted his right hand, filled his mouth, rinsed it, snuffed up water and ejected the mucus with the left hand, doing this three times, then said, "If anyone is pleased to look at the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)’s method of performing ablution, this is how he did it.” Darimi transmitted it.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبد خیر فرماتے ہیں: ہم بیٹھے حضرت علی المرتضیٰ کرّم اللہ تعالیٰ وجہہ الکریم کو دیکھ رہے تھے کہ انہوں نے وضو کیا۔ دایاں ہاتھ ڈال کر منہ بھرا، کلی کی، ناک میں پانی ڈالا اور بائیں ہاتھ سے ناک صاف کی، ایسا تین بار کیا۔ پھر فرمایا: جو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے وضو کا طریقہ دیکھ کر خوش ہونا چاہے تو یہ ہے آپ کا وضو۔ (دارمی)
